Any ideas? <br />you feel better and can do more and do it better.  you live longer and have better quality of life.  you spend less on clothes (smaller sizes are cheaper) and less on food because you don&#8217;t eat so much.  you can enjoy life so much better if you weight less and are healthier.  plus feeling better about yourself and getting compliments on how good you look.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I was just curious what everyone else struggles with when trying to diet. Mine is just hunger, I have a hearty appetite and loathe the feeling of being hungry so its hard to say no to tasty, greasy foods that are available when I&#8217;m dieting. Whats your obstacle? And have you overcome it or are you still battling? <br />For me, it&#8217;s resisting foods that simply taste colourful in my mouth lol. i.e. chips&#8230;. (are a big guilty pleasure for me)  I think I only overcome that when I really choose to though&#8230; I usually give in when I feel like I haven&#8217;t eaten them for a long while, and that&#8217;s when I truly INDULGE (in every sense of the word).  But overall, I think I&#8217;ve overcome it. A tip is to just stay away from the foods altogether, and have the willpower to resist walking over and buying/taking the specific food out of the cupboard.</p>

It&#8217;s a subject everyone is worried about. And the problem is that diets don&#8217;t work. Everybody has tried a diet. I haven&#8217;t met a person yet that&#8217;s hasn&#8217;t tried something, from kids to people in their eighties; everybody has tried some kind of diet and they just don&#8217;t work. In recent studies when they looked at a lot of their major diets (some good one&#8217;s, Atkins, The Zone), they put them all together statistically and found a ten pound weight loss on average. Now, these people lost a hundred pounds and gained it back of course. But, all that work, all that money, all those videos, for ten pounds of weight loss?   So the truth is, we have to find a life style that will allow you to stay at a weight that is healthy for you. That&#8217;s a much different way of thinking than all this crash dieting that goes on. What you have to learn is how to take care of yourself; you have to learn the appropriate foods; you have to make better choices. That&#8217;s the only way it&#8217;s going to work. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am currently dieting and it&#8217;s working, plus I am in the gym again.  I am not fat just gettitng a little loose, I used to play soccer and do step aeorbics in high school, yet I am not happy about my current look. I know dieting foods, I just want to hear more strategies from various people.    Inform me.  LQ!!! The first answer is just from someone most people don&#8217;t want to hear from or like. Get a grid smarty! <br />Maybe it would help you if you didn&#8217;t look at things as &#8220;diet foods&#8221;.  When you want to eat something (which you should do often, like every 2-3 hours), think to yourself &#8211; what benefit am I getting from this?  So instead of thinking of things you CAN&#8217;T eat b/c you&#8217;re trying to firm up, try thinking of what you CAN eat to help you.  What you do eat is much more important that what you don&#8217;t eat.  And the little things do add up.  For example &#8211; try a small handful of nuts, but remember to get them without salt.  No need for that extra sodium.  And drink TONS of water.  I know it sounds very cliche, but once you get into a habit of really staying hydrated, you realize how much better you feel.  Oh, and fresh, raw veggies are great.  Just remember, the more natural a food is, and the less processed, the better it is for you.  Good luck friend!</p>
